All About Me
My name is Jessica Harrington. Many of my students call me Ms. H. I am 27 years old and this is my fourth year teaching 5th grade and my third year at Stough Elementary. I grew up on Long Island, New York until I was 15 years old. My family then moved to Corolla, NC where I finished high school. I attended East Carolina University for college where I recieved my Bachelor's degree in elementary education with concentrations in both reading and english. I currently attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I am working on my Master's degree in science education.
My mom and dad live in Corolla, NC which is on the Outer Banks so I love going to the beach! I have two younger brothers; Jimmy lives in Atlanta, GA and TJ lives in Boone, NC. I also have a dog named Chloe who I absolutely adore! You will hear me talk about her often. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts, cooking, playing kickball, and spending time with my family and friends.
I love teaching fifth grade and my favorite subject to teach is science. I hope to integrate science into many different subject areas this year. I expect for my students to always try their very best and to be proud of what they accomplish. In turn, I promise to always do my best in teaching.
